Doto (“the App”) is created to help you think, reflect, and build a personalized digital assistant based on your own notes, conversations, and preferences. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected, used, and protected.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 User-Provided Data

When you use Doto, you may enter text such as:

Notes, goals, reflections
Messages like “@train”, “remember this”, or similar
Any information you choose to save for personalization

This information is stored only on your device.

1.2 Automatically Collected Data

The App may collect basic, anonymous technical information such as:

Crash logs
Performance data
Device type and OS version

This helps improve the App and never includes your personal notes or messages.

1.3 No Sensitive Tracking

Doto does not access or track:

Contacts
Photos
Location
Microphone
Camera
Health data
Advertising identifiers

The App does not use fingerprinting or cross-app tracking.

2. How Your Data Is Used

2.1 AI Memory & Personalization

Your text is used to:

Generate embeddings (mathematical vectors)
Retrieve past notes to improve responses
Build your “AI-self” profile (writing tone, goals, preferences)

Doto does not train any AI model using your data.

2.2 App Improvement

Anonymous crash and performance data is used solely to:

Fix bugs
Improve stability
Enhance overall App performance

3. How Your Data Is Stored

3.1 On-Device Storage Only

All your data—including:

Notes
Embeddings
Memory profiles
Preference settings
AI-self files

is stored locally on your device.

There is no cloud storage and no iCloud sync.

Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

We do not share your data with:

Advertisers
Data brokers
Third-party analytics platforms

We may share data only if required:

To comply with applicable law
To respond to valid legal processes

Doto never shares your personal notes or AI memory.

5. Your Choices & Controls

You can:

Delete specific notes or memories
Reset the entire memory profile
Export your AI-self file
Delete the app to remove all data

You are always in full control of everything stored in Doto.

6. Security

Doto uses standard security measures such as:

Local device encryption (provided by iOS)
No external transmission of personal content
No third-party servers storing your notes

Although no system is perfect, keeping all data local significantly reduces risk.

7. Children’s Privacy

Doto is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be updated within the App.
